THURSDAY RACING TIPS

13:15 Sandown

Hans Solo Berger was second in this race in 2019. The only victory he’s had was over five furlongs at York. He was outclassed last time out in a competitive handicap but with the booking of one Frankie Detorri, for the sprint maestro Robert Cowell he must be considered.

Street Parade won this race last year under William Carson and both wins to date have been under the same jockeys steering. Joey Haynes takes over today. He’s defied a six pounds penalty last year to take the victory but he needs to improve further to win today.

Acrion is unexposed though he did look as though he needed the full six furlongs at Lingfield he drops back down to 1000 today and must be respected for his owner / trainer combination. The only downside he has is that he needs to be sharp off the break.

ACRION (WIN) 18:08 Newbury

These races almost always goes to amateur jockeys with plenty of experience and Classy Dame is one with a number of chances. The combination of Archie Watson and Brodie Hampsom had an easy winner a week or so ago and this horse has performed well in two runs since joining this stable. He could be of interest.

Study The Stars is ridden by Simon Walker, a standing dish in these type of races, and the fact this horse as won over further than today’s trip might see this gelding difficult to peg back, should he go off in front. Although Simon Walker is a decent booking and he was maybe unlucky not to win the time before, he’s still in with a shout.

Fast Steps is representing the Millman combination and ran well last time out over two furlongs shorter. He was a winner when just shy of this distance for Richard Hannon. He has quite a bit in his favour and looks to have a cracking chance today.
