I’m quite excited to see Roger Varian’s Manaafith return to the racecourse today. She showed plenty of promise on debut, finishing second to Rolling The Dice who in turn ran an excellent third in the Group 2 May Hill Stakes next time out, before going one better on the Polytrack at Lingfield when last seen. She is partnered with Jim Crowley who boasts a 37% winning strike rate in the last twelve months at the course, and has had a wind op since her last victory so should be primed for a big run.

The majority of rivals who have raced before would need to step forwards on what we have experienced to date, so it is Sir Michael Stoute’s filly Assessment who could provide the main threat, with Maritime Rules and The Writer other newcomers to note for any positive signs in the betting.
