THE IRISH INSIDER

This well-supported listed mares hurdle has quite an open look to it with the ultra-consistent Lunar Display likely to take all the beating. Joseph O’Brien’s filly comes here with a rating of 127 following placed efforts in listed and Grade 3 company previously but may be vulnerable to an improver. The Getaway Star has a rating of 125 which suggests she should feature but wasn't at her best at Punchestown earlier in the month. Family Business was a runaway winner over course and distance last month, with the runner-up boosting the form since.

However, I’m going to side with the twice-raced Braganza, who was a decisive winner at his track, on the back of a mammoth layoff last month. I was there that day and she was visually very impressive especially given her weakness in the market beforehand. The daughter of Nathaniel has had obvious problems but has more potential than most and looks smart.

Sean O’Brien did a great job to place Nell’s Well when she flew home to land a Grade 3 contest when last seen. The daughter of Gold Well was rated just 107 and her retained rider was unable to claim his allowance which he can here. That being said, her overall form might not be good enough to follow up. Mythical Hero and Costal Reward both bring a decent level of form into he race but I fancy Mr Fred Rogers to improve for this longer trip and account for his rivals. This lightly-raced individual finished a somewhat remote third in a graded event at Navan earlier this month but this new trip and Shane Fitzgerald’s claim should see him land the odds for the in-form Gordon Elliott team.
