Alletrix has won over two and a half miles in soft-to-heavy ground and was a respectable second to Meri Devie in a Listed contest last month so on that basis deserves to be towards the head of the market. Both career victories have come with Robbie Power in the saddle but she has never raced over this distance before so could be vulnerable for win purposes.

Lackaneen Leader and Alighting both represent big yards and both arrive here with place chances, while Willie Mullins won this race last year with Kate Appleby Shoes and runs Court Artist and Redhotfillypeppers in a bid to retain the crown. Court Artist has winning form in testing ground but over shorter trips than today so the vote goes to the Redhotfillypeppers who won over today’s trip in heavy ground last time out, making all and finishing very strongly to win by eight lengths. She was starting to become a shade disappointing but improved for the step up in trip and as a previous point-to-point winner should outstay her rivals here today.
