SUNDAY WEEKENDER

14:50 Fairyhouse

Willie Mullins has won this race four times in the last six years, with Annie Power and Laurina amongst those winners, and saddles seven of the seventeen runners this time around. Jockey bookings would suggest that Eglantine Du Seuil, a 50/1 winner of the Mares Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham in March, is the pick of the bunch and the way she stayed on strongly up the Prestbury Park hill suggests the extra distance she encounters today shouldn’t be a problem.

That said, there are a couple of high-class rivals in Annie MC and the unbeaten Honeysuckle that look to have excellent chances themselves. Annie MC is proven over the trip and was impressive last time out but it is the Henry De Bromhead runner Honeysuckle that we are siding with as she is a prior course and distance winner, is two from two at the course and beat Annie MC in a point-to-point when they last met.

Honeysuckle (WIN) – NAP

16:20 Ffos Las – Get On The Yager (WIN) – NB

15:25 Plumpton – Brandon Castle (WIN) – alternative
