14:25 Aintree A big field handicap hurdle is a great site for die hard racing fans especially at big time national hunt courses such as Aintree. Obviously a case can be made for several but Stamp Your Feet should put in a decent effort. A fifth placed finish in a similar event should have brought his fitness up to scratch and after running well at last year’s Punchestown Festival clearly holds a decent level of ability for a trainer who does well here at Aintree. Burbank and Sneaky Feeling look formidable opposition but without a run under their belts this season it’s hard to gage how fit they’re likely to be. At a bigger price Clondaw Kaempfer is a consistent sort who tends to give punters a good run for their money. STAMP YOUR FEET (E/W)
15:25 Galway This contest looks far from stellar and form wise there’s not much to go off. Never the less judged on breeding The Major General looks a mightily interesting prospect. A stakes winner in his flat days this son of Galileo looked much improved when finishing fifth of twelve in his last run. Although the yard may have two horses in the race I’m happy to side with what looks their second string. Prospectus and top weight Kylecrue have good chances and look to have it well within their capabilities to win a race of this nature. THE MAJOR GENERAL (WIN) – NAP
