SUNDAY WEEKENDER

14:30 Hamilton

It’s fair to say that Edgar Allan Poe has struggled so far this season but as a result has dropped down to a much more workable mark (now 3lbs lower than when last successful) and showed signs of a return to form with a solid second at Carlisle at the beginning of the month. Both career victories have come with Danny Tudhope in the saddle so it is encouraging to see him return for the ride today and with winning form over course and distance and a 3rd over track and trip in a higher grade off a mark of 68 he looks primed to strike with conditions expected to suit.

Many of these arrive with questions to answer but Military Hill has won two of his last four and has done all his winning in similar conditions so will likely be there at the business end of the race, while Crazy Tornado has won on his last two visits to the course so is another who could pick up place money from a 3lbs higher mark.
