14:30 Fontwell Venetia Williams fires King Of Glory into the race aiming to make amends for a mistake that cost him the race last time out. A worthy favourite but one I’m willing to take on with his form here at Fontwell leaving a lot to be desired. Speaking of course form today’s selection has great form figures at this venue with a win and a second in just two starts here for Rothman. The Chris Gordon trained seven year old has been ultra consistent this term but without getting his head in front. Now that he sits seven pounds below his last winning mark everything seems to be aligned for Rothman to go close. ROTHMAN (E/W if 9/2+) – NAP
16:40 Southwell Classico Dais returns to the scene of his previous outing where he ran well for most of it before fading close home. A drop in trip is bound to help and hailing from the mighty yard of Dan Skelton has to be respected. Especially a horse with so few runs under his belt. The rival I fear the most isn’t one of the market principles but an outsider in the form of Chankillo who should relish this trip and has a huge positive in having Aidan Coleman in the saddle. Not a sure fire winner but Chankillo looks better than his current 14/1 price may suggest. Boher Lad heads the betting and rightly so after finishing second (in the race Classico Dais finished fifth) here last time. A return to Southwell shouldn’t be a concern and there’s no doubt he’ll go close once again buy I’m hoping Skelton’s charge has what it takes to reverse the form. CLASSICO DAIS (E/W if 9/2+)
