14:55 Curragh A fascinating Listed sprint contest over 5f looks to be the highlight of the day as the Curragh gets back into full swing for the flat season. The American superstar sprinter Acapulco, formerly trained stateside by Wesley Ward, now makes his debut for the Aiden O’Brien yard and he looks the stand out pick on form here if fully wound up for his seasonal reappearance. The four-year-old is unlucky to make more than a couple of appearances for the yard given that she is in foal to Galileo, but the master trainer looks to have found an ideal opportunity for her to sign off with a win given that she gets weight from the majority of the field here. The 2015 Queen Mary winner can strike again here and gets the nod. Robert Cowell provides a trio of dangers in opposition and last time out winner Sir Robert Cheval looks most likely to pounce should the selection fail to fire. ACAPULCO (WIN) – NAP

16:25 Curragh The 1m2f handicap contest looks an ideal opportunity for the Kevin Prendergast trained Aared. The five-year-old simply didn’t have the turn of foot over a mile last time out and this extended trip over a further two furlongs looks right up his street. He has a fantastic record at the Curragh and so a return here can see him take a hand again. A talented apprentice taking a handy seven pounds claim off his back, so the top weight looks poised for a big run and gets the nod at an each way price. Shannon Soul, trained by Mick Halford, comes here seeking the four timer and is the biggest danger to the selection under today’s conditions. AARED (E/W)
