SUNDAY WEEKENDER

16:15 Navan

Bye Bye Baby beat subsequent Group 3 winner Altyn Orda in a maiden at Newmarket last season before winning at Listed level next time out. She could only manage third behind stablemate Kenya on last run of the season but now steps up in trip and gets the services of top jockey Ryan Moore which could make all the difference and help her return to the winners enclosure.

Aiden O’Brien also runs Sizzling and Easter Lily, both stepping up in trip on return. Sizzling was last seen four lengths behind Bye Bye Baby here at Navan but should also improve for this longer trip and looks the most likely of the two to challenge.

Mary Tudor wasn’t too far behind Happily and Magical in a Group 2 last summer while Baroness has won over a mile and both are worthy of respect.

Bye Bye Baby (WIN)

17:05 Market Rasen

Gonalston Cloud had been running over longer trips before dropping back to three miles last time out, putting together a solid round of jumping and winning well by almost four lengths. He won on only previous visit to the course and a 4lbs rise is mostly negated by talented jockey James Bowen claiming 3lbs so with both trip and conditions to suit a big run is expected.

Until Winning is another with a course victory to his name but his stable has struggled in recent weeks and all his victories have come over shorter trips so the bigger danger looks to be Huff And Puff for the in-form Venetia Williams stable. A winner of his last two, with the latest coming earlier this month, and only up 2lbs he should prove competitive providing this doesn’t come too soon.
