SUNDAY WEEKENDER

16:05 Nottingham

Erissimus Maximus is still a couple of pounds higher than his last winning mark but has been holding his form well and was only two lengths behind Justanotherbottle when they met at Redcar last month. He re-opposes with a 6lbs swing in the weights so it would be no surprise to see that form reversed here, especially given the recent form of the stable and Silvestre De Sousa continuing in the saddle.

Mick Appleby has won this race three times in the last five years so Moonraker is respected, although he is probably better over six furlongs and has been hit with an 8lbs rise for a neck victory last time out so the bigger danger looks to be bottom-weight Elysian Flyer who returned to the track in April following a seven-month absence and was a decent second in a race that has produced four subsequent winners.
