SUNDAY WEEKENDER

15:10 Uttoxeter

Dan Skelton has a number of runners who have decent winning chances today and boasts an excellent record of twenty-one wins from sixty-six runners here at Uttoxeter in the last twelve months, producing level stakes profit of £35.44 from a £1 stake over the same time period. The runner of his that I am most interested in is Symphony Of Angels who was a ready winner on first run for the stable last time out, staying on well to beat Stepover (who had won on previous run) by almost four lengths. Despite this being a slight step up in class it doesn’t look to be a particularly deep race and I feel he can improve enough to shrug off an 8lbs rise.

The most likely to challenge is William Of Orange who was also a winner last time out, winning well at Kelso in May. The 8lbs rise he received is partially offset by the jockey’s 5bls claim but nevertheless he is now on a career high mark and the stable have struggled for winners in recent weeks so look destined for minor honours.
