Much of this revolves around former Stewards Cup winner Summerghand and how straight he is after a three month break. The big question is whether or not he can produce his very best around this course but as a three time winner on the artificial surfaces he has solid all-weather form. He’s comfortably best in at the weights, should have this run to suit and I’m hoping is likely to win if everything goes according to plan.
Fizzy Feet is progressive and would be an apt winner for owner David Lowe (Race named in honour of his sadly ill-fated sprinter Kachy) she looks well drawn to attack from stall two although there is no real reason for her to reverse Wolverhampton form with Misty Grey, given she is 2lbs worse off for a short head defeat.
The aforementioned Misty Grey is unbeaten in three for this yard and has some very strong form, she really ought to be running on strongly at the business end of the race and warrants serious respect.
Mums Tipple has shown precious little since hacking up at York as a two year old, this would be as calm a race as he has competed in for quite some time. Has a chance but looks a risky proposition.
The remaining runners are hard to make an argument for and as such a chance is taken on Summerghand if fit and ready on his return.
