14:00 Lingfield The Mark Johnston trained Revolutionist arrives here looking to complete a four-timer after a course and distance win here in March followed up by wins over just over a mile at Windsor and Wolves respectively in October. He has a 6lbs rise to contend with but won a lot easier than the short head winning margin suggests last time out and should be capable of another win here with the consistent James Doyle taking over in the saddle. Hillbilly Boy was disappointing last time out but has won three times and placed twice from six runs here at Lingfield so has to be considered a danger at a track that he obviously does well at. Mindurownbusiness has a long break to overcome but like the aforementioned Hillbilly Boy has a 50% strike rate here and won two of his last three including one over course and distance so is another who has a chance if fully fit. 15:10 Lingfield A competitive looking all-weather fast track qualifier is where we find our second selection of the Weekender. Maverick Wave has has sights lowered after being put in his place in the Group 1 Champion Stakes at Ascot last month and will no doubt prove popular in the market considering he has won three from four here at Lingfield and four from seven over ten furlongs. However, jockey William Buick has only managed four wins in thirty-four at Lingfield and has much better stats at the other AW courses which makes me want to look elsewhere. Let’s Go has won two from four and was only a half length behind Tryster last time out, an all-weather specialist who is boasts an unbeaten six wins from six on an all-weather surface. Jockey James Doyle and trainer Saeed Bin Suroor have an impressive strike rate approaching 30% and will be hoping to continue their recent good run by winning again here. Previous course and distance winners Battalion and Grendisar both have strong place claims while Fire Fighting and Solar Deity also have the ability to get involved at slightly larger forecast prices.. 17:45 Wolverhampton We switch to Wolves for our third and final selection of today’s Weekender. Early favourite Parkour is a course and distance winner who was three lengths clear of a subsequent winner when last seen in October. He looks to have a decent future ahead and I would be surprised if he isn’t in the mix but preference is for Flowing Clarets. The two year old filly has only raced competitively on one occasion but ran out an impressive two and a half length winner over todays’ trip at Leicester last month and looks like an opening handicap mark of 75 is within her grasp. King Of Swing is also considered and may prove a danger if taking to the all-weather surface. A previous winner over six furlongs on soft ground at Haydock in September, he disappointed when next seen over five furlongs at Nottingham earlier this month and should be more at home over todays’ trip.
