RARE SIMCOCK AND DE SOUSA DUO SET TO SOAR WITH SOLAR

15:07 Ripon

Solar Screen was no match for an impressive winner at Salisbury last month but ran well for a clear second and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa looks significant – he is a rare booking for David Simcock but boasts an excellent record at Ripon and he can make the difference here.

There are a number of rivals who look likely to put up a challenge, these include Arctic Fox who has done all his winning over shorter trips, Cogital who has posted results of 212 this season but is 4lbs higher than his last turf victory, while Stonific won on his only prior visit to the course and arrives here on the back of a victory over hurdles last month, although may find this trip on the short side.

A final mention goes to Nakeeta won the 2017 Ebor but has only won one race in over twenty five since and despite slipping down the weights has still been comfortably beaten in all four runs this season.
