RACING PREVIEWS & TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

15:40 Chepstow Seen by some (according to the expected betting odds) as a slight foregone conclusion that will see Rigoletto storm to victory. There’s no doubt that the three year old looks to be a worthy enough favourite but it’s certainly worth taking on. Aside from his last race Redgrave looks very consistent and should have enough in the tank to trouble the main protagonists but Ehtiraas has to be the one to side with. Trainer Owen Burrows has his horses running well and this four year old barely ever puts in a bad performance as can be seen by the fact he’s only ever finished outside the top three once in seven races. He’s been handled with kid gloves and clearly the yard hold him in high regard. A recent gelding operation should also aid his chances as he looks to go one better than his promising second placed effort last time out. EHTIRAAS (WIN) – NAP

17:20 Kempton There’s four previous course winners of which the favourite, Morello isn’t one of them. Never the less the Henry Candy trained maiden looks to have a great chance as he looks to bag a victory in his ninth attempt. However with bookmakers making him a clear favourite he doesn’t represent much in the way of value. Instead I’m siding with one of the quintet of course winners and with Silvestre De Sousa booked for the ride Whaleweigh Station has a great chance. Despite the less than advantageous draw he has a fantastic record over today’s course and trip and although he’s been very out of form he could bounce back and go close. WHALEWEIGH STATION (E/W)
