14:50 Newcastle A change of yards seemed to do William Money a world of good when second first time up for Tim Vaughan. The ten year old hasn’t won since April 2015 off a mark of 121 and is now on 94 plus Alan Johns takes off a further 3lb enhancing his claims in this contest. However there is somewhat of a course specialist in Dingo Bay, who didn’t exactly show much on his first start for Rebecca Menzies after switching from John Wade. That also came on the back of an absence dating back to March 2015, so there is a hope he’ll be fitter this time around. This son of Karinga Bay has three wins here at Gosforth Park all on heavy ground and that may help to see a better performance. Chain Of Beacons has been consistent without getting off the mark and has something to prove on testing ground while Hattons Hill has place claims if recapturing his effort two starts back that saw him finish third over track and trip. Dingo Bay (E/W if 9/2+)
15:00 Wolverhampton Division Two of this five-furlong sprint handicap could fall into the hands of a closer with there being plenty of early pace from the looks of the racecard. Rojina will try and get across from stall eight to make the running under Jon Egan while Pearl Noir and Storm Trooper are both likely to be prominent. If that’s the case it could suit Toni’s A Star who was down the field at Southwell last time. That’s a track I can forgive a bad run as the surface doesn’t always suit plus the drop in grade back into a Class 6 is a positive. This mare won off this mark at Bath in September with Georgia Cox on board. Tony Carroll’s charge has also recorded three wins at Dunstall Park, so has a liking for the Midlands air and in a race that could be ran to suit is one to have on side. Fabulous Flyer is the obvious pick on form. She’s off the same mark as last week’s second at Kempton and seems to be on the improve for Jeremy Gask, who’s runners have been going well once again of late. Irish raider Mr Michael is interesting stepping back down in trip and after his trainer had a winner here on Monday could be one to follow suit. Toni’s A Star (E/W)
