RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

14:30 Redcar Despite the large field there looks to be only a handful capable of making their presence felt based on all form to date. Milan Reef took a big step forward when winning last time out and soft ground looks to be the key based on recent runs although has 6lbs extra to carry today, while Faradays Spark looks the pick of Richard Fahey’s two runners so it’s a surprise to see Paul Hanagan riding stablemate Zoffinia Dream Of Delphi was a convincing winner on penultimate run and although only second last time out he was beaten by a subsequent winner and was over five lengths ahead of third. That was his first attempt over a mile so is open to further progress and is partnered with Danny Tudhope who has a decent record at Redcar and an excellent record when riding for William Haggas. Dream Of Delphi (WIN) – NAP

15:45 Goodwood Billesdon Bess arrives here in top form having won her last two, beating Titi Makfi over course and distance on penultimate run before overcoming a troubled passage to win a shade cosily at Listed level last time out. This looks to be her toughest test to date but she looks open to further progression and is again partnered with Hollie Doyle who has been in the saddle for her last three victories. Spark Plug is proven at this level although may prefer better ground conditions while Saeed Bin Suroor has won this race four times in the last ten years so Promising Run deserves a mention, while Frankuus has twice won at Group level and although was behind Spark Plug last time out should prefer the softer ground today. Billesdon Bess (WIN)
