RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

15:40 Beverley Chiswick Bey has been well beaten in his last two runs but was a course and distance winner prior to that and has won four from six when dropped in to a Class 6. At nine years old he may not be the force of old but has won in Class 3 races earlier in his career so it would be somewhat of a surprise if he can’t get competitive here. Dream Team has only ever won on the all-weather and Merdon Castle is yet to make the frame in six attempts over todays’ trip so Talent Scout, who won this race last year and has an excellent record at Beverley looks to be the biggest danger, although finished last of nine over course and distance last time out and will need to improve on that to get involved today. 16:50 Salisbury Kevin Ryan has his stable in fine form at the moment so it could prove significant that he sends just one runner to Salisbury for an apprentice handicap race, at a course where he has only had seventeen runners across his whole career as a trainer. Fine Example has placed in his last two runs and benefits from in-form Seamus Cronin’s 3lbs claim which could be enough to re-enter the winners enclosure. Bengal Dancer only just failed last time out and should go close again with a similar run, while Intimately and Welsh Inlet are previous course and distance winners and also have place possibilities.
