17:35 Nottingham Unlucky for some but this thirteen runner race is hopefully profitable for us punters. Oriental Splendour enters the equation on the back of a more encouraging run last time so a repeat of that effort should put him bang in the frame but this looks more competitive than his last contest. Course and distance winner Classic Pursuit also looks to have a promising claim to finding victory as the Mick Appleby trained runner returns to a course he thrives with an eye catching jockey booking to boot. That being said it’s actually another course and distance winning, Mick Appleby trained runner that I’m more interested in. Appleberry has a great record here at Nottingham, he relishes softer ground conditions and he’s been pretty consistent so far this term. Unlike his rivals today he’s been lightly raced this year so could have more room for improvement than any other runner and at a big price is worth an each way punt. APPLEBERRY (E/W)
17:40 Kempton The opening race on Kempton’s all-weather card this evening looks highly competitive but it looks worth siding with a horse who’s never lost on an artificial surface. Inlawed won here in his last race and the handicapper has been kind by only upping him just three pounds in weight. Top class jockey Pat Cosgrave is booked for the ride and as such this three year old is set to go close once again. A host of fellow three year olds look to pose the biggest challenge to our selection in the form of Tuscany, Waqt and Treacherous who all look worthy opposition. INLAWED (WIN) – NAP
