RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

RACE PREVIEW

KEMPTON 20:10 – (BET OF THE DAY)

The final race on the card at this evenings meeting from Kempton sees New Rich return to the course and distance he was unlucky at in his last race. He finished fourth when doing too little too late after not finding a clear run a few furlongs from home. If he can find an uninterrupted passage through the field and get a better position than he did here previously he will undoubtedly go very close to claiming another all-weather victory.

Sahkee’s Jem hasn’t won on an artificial surface but put in a solid performance at Chelmsford two starts back. If she can build upon that effort she’ll certainly give our selection something to think about.

Of the remaining runners the very consistent Binky Blue continues to finish in the placings and is likely to do so once again.

RACE PREVIEW

DUNDALK 20:55

There may be an unlucky thirteen set to go to post for the last race at Dundalk tonight but only three of them have been victorious here previously.

The outsider of the aforementioned trio is the Wayne Lordan ridden Lady Rosebud. At the age of three she has room to improve unlike most of her rivals. Trainer Patrick Martin is in great form at the moment and looks mightily overpriced and if may be worth a small each way punt but sadly due to the fact I’m not convinced she wants this longer trip has to play second fiddle to my selection.

The favourite Ben Rumson thoroughly deserves his spot at the head of the market with five victories in his last seven starts. He’s on a run of three victories here at Dundalk and undoubtedly will go close to making it four consecutive course wins however a mighty rise in weight is making his task a very tall order and today may be the day he finally comes unstuck.

The third and final course victor is Rock On Rosie who didn’t finish too far back behind Ben Rumson when finishing in fifth here last time. With a more favourable draw this time around this veteran who’s been tried in various races can go close and should be a cert to find a place, surely?
