15:30 Carlisle Pensax Boy won over course and distance when last seen in May, beating the re-opposing Georgian Bay by just over a length, but has been upped 3lbs for his troubles and his trainer hasn’t found the winners enclosure in recent weeks so Georgian Bay should have every chance of reversing the form. Goring and Intensical both won last time out but Goring was all out to gain victory and has been upped 2lbs while Intensical has a 6lbs penalty to carry so i’m happy to take a chance on Silvery Moon who has won two and placed once from four runs over course and distance, is 2lbs below his best winning mark and takes a big drop in class to a level where he has made the frame in eight from twelve, winning six. Silvery Moon (E/W)
15:40 Salisbury Great Sound took a while to get going on debut earlier in the month but left a lasting impression when getting the hang of things in the final couple of furlongs to win with what looked to be plenty in hand. Trainer John Gosden has an excellent strike rate and level stakes profit record over the last three years at the course and in Great Sound, his only runner on the card, has an exciting looking three year old who should come on for the experience and prove tough to beat here. The biggest danger looks to be previous course and distance winner Stone The Crows for the in-form Roger Charlton stable, while Here And Now is unbeaten in two over todays’ trip and Redicean improved to open his account at the fourth time of asking last time out and could also figure if staying this longer trip. Great Sound (WIN) – NAP
