19:10 Chelmsford A fascinating contest with a number who would have a chance on their best form. I’m opting for Murad Khan who won over todays’ trip on only previous visit to Chelmsford and has won four from seven over a mile. His disappointed at Goodwood last time out but that was over ten furlongs so can regain the winning thread now dropped back to his optimum trip. Supersta hasn’t shown much in his last two runs on turf so should appreciate the return to Chelmsford where he has four wins from eight over course and distance, while Belgian Bill is a former Group 2 winner and Leshlaa races for Saeed Bin Suroor who rarely leaves Chelmsford without a winner, so all three have to be considered should the selection disappoint. MURAD KHAN (WIN)
19:25 Nottingham Likely favourite Culloden has won his last three and is again partnered by Manual Fernandes who was in the saddle for the last two of these victories. He has to contend with a 5lbs rise and a step up in class for todays’ race so, although cannot be discounted in his current form, could be vulnerable here. Nags Wag has a good record over the trip but would prefer a faster surface, while Ambitious Icarus has course and distance form but hasn’t won on turf for two years, so preference is for Sitar who has won over course and distance on his last two trips to Nottingham and races for James Fanshawe who has a 22% winning strike rate and level stakes profit of over £20 in the last three years at the course. SITAR (WIN) – NAP
