RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (TUESDAY)

Hamilton 15:35 Melaniemillie has been holding her form well, finishing in the first two in each of her last four runs, however was beaten fair and square off her current mark last time out. Top-weight Hamish Mcgonagain was a winner on penultimate run although is another who may prove vulnerable off his current mark. He is again partnered with Danny Tudhope who was in the saddle for that victory and has a good record at the course, but he may have to settle for minor honours today. Preference is for Dodgy Bob who has produced a couple of excellent runs since being tried in a visor and although has been upped 6lbs for victory last time out is still well treated on best form, having won a class 4 off a mark of 78 over course and distance last summer. Goodwood 15:50 Aurora Gray is yet to win in nine attempts on turf but has been tried over differing trips and has run well in defeat, placing in her last five. Today sees her attempt two miles for the first time on turf but she is previously unbeaten in three over this trip on the all-weather. With the stable in good form and partnered with in-form jockey Jim Crowley who has a good strike rate at the course, the four year old filly is taken to get off the mark here. Arty Campbell has placed in his last two but has a poor record at the course so the bigger danger looks to be Arthur Mc Bride who recorded his only career victory to date over course and distance and arrives in reasonable form having placed in three of his last four.
