14:55 Ayr Rubis has a win and a third to show from two previous trips to Ayr and has the benefit of a 3lbs claim courtesy of Sammy Jo Bells for today’s race. A solid second on heavy ground last time out and with the aforementioned course victory coming on soft ground she will be at home in the forecast conditions and can continue her good form at the track. Edgar Allan Poe also has winning form on soft ground and twice won over a mile in July, although was well beaten off his new mark last time out, while Intiwin carries a 6lbs penalty for a win on the all-weather last time out. Argaki has done all his winning on better ground than likely to encounter here so the biggest danger could be Wasm who has a soft ground victory to his name and has been dropped 3lbs from last run. Rubis (WIN)
15:25 Ayr With the ground likely to be very testing it’s important to look for a horse with stamina in abundance and in Question Of Faith we have a six year old who has won over two miles in soft ground and was a winner last time out over fourteen furlongs in heavy ground. Just 3lbs higher today and arriving in top form she should prove too strong for her rivals here. Elite Icon gained his first career victory on heavy ground when stepped up to fourteen furlongs last time out and will be a danger if staying the extra furlong, while stablemate La Bacouetteuse hasn’t been in the best form this season but is now 7lbs below last winning mark as a result and has winning form over course and distance so cannot be discounted. Question Of Faith (WIN) – NAP
