RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (TUESDAY)

14:10 HUNTINGDON

Call Me Lord won a Class 2 handicap by almost four lengths on debut for Nicky Henderson and makes his seasonal re-appearance at a trip that he has already won twice over. Having also won over a couple of furlongs further, and proven on good, good-to-soft and soft ground he should prove difficult to beat here.

High Secret should be fit following a run on the all-weather at the start of the month and has twice won over todays’ trip, although both these victories came at Taunton and his runs over hurdles at any other venue have proved less than impressive so the bigger danger looks to be So Celebre who returns to hurdles following a summer campaign on the flat and although is 5lbs higher today has won over course and distance previously.

15:10 HUNTINGDON - (BET OF THE DAY)

Cheltenham De Vaige was heavily supported on debut for in-form trainer Fergal O’Brien and although could only manage second he appeared outpaced on the turn for home yet stayed on to challenge at the finish so the step back up to two and a half miles, a trip at which he has gone close previously, should eke out the necessary improvement to go one better today.

Uncle Percy had shown very little in three runs over hurdles last season but put in a much better performance when third on re-appearance this season and could be capable of further improvement for a trainer that tends to do well with his runners here, while Occasionally Yours drops in class and is now 4lbs below last winning mark so is another to consider at a likely bigger price.
