RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (TUESDAY)

15:00 Beverley Red Invader was given a great ride to pop up at 16/1 last time out and has an excellent record over todays’ trip, making the frame in eleven from fifteen. He has been racing mainly on all-weather tracks in recent years but going back to his last runs on turf he has won two and placed in three from his last six (the unplaced effort was on heavy ground) and was only a length behind the winner in a class 4 race off a mark of 68 so should be capable of getting involved here off a mark of 64. Jack Luey doesn’t win too many races nowadays but put in a solid effort to place at Pontefract last month on return from a four month absence so will be a danger if building on that, while Henley finished a head in front of Jack Luey last time out and has made the frame in his last three so is another to consider. Red Invader (WIN)

15:30 Beverley Rousayan has won two from three over course and distance, his only two career victories, and drops down in class for today’s race following two respectable runs in higher grades in recent weeks. He is partnered with Danny Tudhope who was also on board for both victories and has a 24% winning strike rate at the course over the last three years so a bold bid looks assured. Mark Johnston has a decent record at Beverley and runs Yorkee Mo Sabee who has won over this trip although would probably prefer slightly softer ground conditions, while Jacbequick and Gerry The Glover both have winning course form and look the most likely to trouble the selection.
