RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (TUESDAY)

16:00 Brighton Otomo is a previous course and distance winner but has struggled since and is still 4lbs higher than for that victory, while Bahamian Sunrise has made the frame in four from five at the course but is yet to win in a dozen attempts over six furlongs. Buxted Dream swept aside his rivals to win by almost two lengths at Lingfield earlier this month, finally getting his nose in front following four successive seconds. With trainer Luca Cumani in good recent form he has to be respected, however preference is for Black Caesar who has won two and placed once from three over track and trip and was only just denied under this jockey last time out. He races off the same mark again for today’s race and can gain another course and distance victory here. Black Caesar (WIN) – NAP

17:00 Brighton Trainer Paul Cole has an excellent record at Brighton, boasting a winning strike rate of 38% and level stakes profit of +£24.88 to a £1 stake over the last three years, so any runner he sends to the course needs to be taken seriously. He races off the same mark as when a decent second on penultimate run, and with the winner, 3rd and 4th all going on to win since the form looks to be holding up well. Buzz Lightyere was a course and distance winner last time out and although was all out to win by a neck he brings the best recent form to the table and as such rates as the biggest danger.
