RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (TUESDAY)

15:15 Beverley Glorious Poet has recorded both career victories at this level in soft ground and took advantage of a falling handicap mark when winning by five lengths at Lingfield last time out, however as a result has been hit with an 8lbs rise and has previously struggled off similar marks. Talent Scout has an excellent record over course and distance however all victories have come on good or better ground so I’m opting for The Stalking Moon for in-form trainer JJ Quinn. She has twice won over today’s trip and all career wins have come on soft or good-to-soft ground so, with Danny Tudhope an eye-catching jockey booking, looks to have a great chance of making the frame at the very least here. 19:40 Chelmsford Harba was no match for Peach Melba last time out but had notched up a hat-trick of wins prior to that. An encouraging run last year on the AW at Wolves, before being brought down when mounting a challenge, suggests that she will handle the surface and she looks to have a great chance of adding another career victory now eased in class for today’s race. Simply Me has made the frame in eight from ten on an all-weather surface so needs to be taken seriously, while Song Maker was a winner last time out and is also worthy of respect for a trainer and jockey who have both been in good form and do well at the course.
