16:20 Exeter Market Road has improved for the fitting of a tongue tie, posting two wins and two placed efforts from four. All of the above came at this level, his in-form jockey takes off a valuable 7lbs and he has optimum conditions again for today’s race so he looks sure to be in with a shout, however the 5 month absence is enough of a concern to make me look elsewhere given his poor record when fresh. Trainer Sue Gardner boasts a 28% winning strike rate in the last twelve months at the course and her runner Eddy put in a commanding performance to win a class 4 race by thirteen lengths over course and distance a couple of weeks back. He is 10lbs higher today but drops back in to class 5 company and is again partnered with jockey Sean Houlihan who has two wins from three when riding the 8 year old. Eddy (WIN) – NAP
20:15 Kempton Ed Walker has his stable firing on all cylinders at the moment and his runner Inlawed was a course and distance winner on penultimate run, following up with a decent third when stepped up to seven furlongs. The bottom weight steps up in grade for today’s race but is open to further improvement after just two all-weather runs and comes up against some thoroughly exposed opposition today. Harlequin Storm won well last time out and is another representing a red-hot stable, however a step up in class and a 6lbs rise will make things tougher. Don’t Blame Me has won two from five at Kempton but is yet to fire this season. As a result he’s dropped to just 1lbs above last winning mark but would need to show a big improvement to get involved. Inlawed (WIN)
