RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (TUESDAY)

16:45 Catterick Italian Riviera has an excellent record at Catterick, recording three wins from four attempts, across both codes. His last flat turf victory came over course and distance in a class 5 and ran well when second last time out, on return from a six month break, so should be race fit and more than capable of victory back in a class 6 here. Bodacious Name carries a 6lbs penalty for victory last time out, gained on first attempt over today’s trip. That came on heavy ground but if coping with the expected better conditions he looks to be the biggest threat. A final mention goes to Angel In The Snow who posted a decent second here at Catterick last time out and can again make his presence felt. Italian Riviera (WIN) – NAP

19:20 Chelmsford Glittering Jewel was an impressive winner on first all-weather appearance, making all and winning by over four lengths. This is a tougher race but she looked much happier switched to a synthetic surface and with both trainer and jockey in good form she looks the one to beat. Vogueatti and Blind Faith are both previous winners over track and trip and are respected accordingly, while Blushing Rose has all-weather form and with Ryan Moore in the saddle will likely be a popular choice for punters.
