14:30 Plumpton Mighty Missile is beginning to tumble down the weights and can take advantage of this drop in the ratings with a ten pound claimer on his back. He has run well a couple of times this season, most notably when second over the course and distance on what was only his second start for Brian Barr. A fine third at Sandown last time indicated he was on his way back into form and Mitchell Bastyan can conjure another solid performance out of this six year old n9w that he upped in trip. Good ground suits him well and his form seems to improve as the year progresses so a bold effort cannot be ruled out. Zante looks to be a potential fly in the ointment as this lightly raced sort won on decent ground in his native France. He was clearly in need of the run when making his seasonal reappearance at Leicester back in January and showed dramatic improvement when beaten a nose at Huntingdon just over a month ago. Master Burbidge won in decent style when landing a similar event over this course and distance last time. Noel Fehily is one from one on the Neil Mulholland trained runner and they too have to rank rank high on any shortlist. Mighty Missile (E/W if 9/2+)
16:00 Warwick Two Swallows has been a model of consistency this season with two wins and two seconds. Ben Pauling clearly has the seven year old mare on good terms with herself and she will relish any softening of the ground being by Kayf Tara. This will be a new trip for her but she still has relatively few miles on the clock and is still fairly unexposed. With the yard in fine form she has to be considered from near the foot of the weights. Cadoudoff has been runner up in his two most recent outings at Newbury and Catterick. His chances would increase further if there was significant rainfall and his run behind Wishicould reads well here. Rocky’s Treasure made his handicap debut at Doncaster last month and saw off the attentions of the well regarded Some Kinda Lama. David Bass keeps the ride on the son of Westerner and he too commands respect. Two Swallows (E/W if 9/2+)
