17:00 Redcar A massively competitive contest awaits and at first glance it looks like an absolute minefield to negotiate. A whopping sixteen three year olds look set to fight it out to finish with their head in front. Baker Street, who finished third on his last outing, demands a tonne of respect, especially now dropping down to one mile but when he’s previously tackled seven furlongs (just one furlong less than today’s distance) he’s not faired all that well. No doubt he’ll be up there but could be open to a few late finishers. David Barron’s Fairy Lock enters the fold on the back of a muddling ride at Wolverhampton back in January. A horse that looks to have promise but her form on turf leaves a big question mark hanging above her head. Despite Cosmic Sky never finishing better than sixth in her five race career she showed she might be getting used to the game last time out. She only finished a small handful of lengths behind the winner when running on over six furlongs at this very same venue. There’s no doubt she’ll have to improve but if the step up to a mile helps her cause we may just see her rattling home at a decent price. COSMIC SKY (WIN)
