19:10 Carlisle It may seem odd plumping for a horse who’s yet to taste victory but that’s exactly what we’re doing in this 1m1f handicap. Cartavio won well at Salisbury last time out but a rise in weight may put pay to his chances of making it two on the bounce. The ultra consistent Golconda Prince is bound to go close once again but needs to pull more out of the bag to end up in the winners enclosure. Elite Icon still has a lot of questions to answer but is of interest making his turf and handicap debut but it’s likely that place money is the best he can hope for. Despite finishing fifth last time out Coral Princess put in a much good performance on her handicap debut up at Ayr. Keith Dalgleish’s charge has a better weight this time around and this looks a less competitive affair. Both trainer and jockey (Franny Norton) have bagged five winners apiece in the past two weeks and there’s a real possibility they could be adding to their tally once again. CORAL PRINCESS (WIN)
19:55 Leopardstown A ridiculously open contest lies before us with seventeen runners set to go to post for this handicap over in Ireland. Top weight Alkasser is very interesting making a very long awaited return to racing and representing one of Irish flat racings powerhouse trainers in the form of Dermot Weld. A former listed winner he’s got ability but how much is retained is very hard to judge. Korbous put in an eye-catching performance to finish second last time out but this looks a more competitive affair and although he’s likely to put up another good effort there’s more rivals to contend with this time around. The likes of So Sensible and Heavy Weight will pose obvious threats as well but the one I’m plumping for is Rummaging. A former course and distance winner who gave a much improved effort at Dundalk previously. He races off a staggering 20lbs lighter weight than when he won last time and represents a good yard. Hopefully the weather doesn’t get too sodden and he can grab some each way value for punters. RUMMAGING (E/W)
