16:20 Salisbury Kassia had shown worryingly little in her first two starts this term though perhaps she needed the runs as her effort at Newmarket last time was much more like it. Under The Covers will have to improve to land the hat-trick here but she was fairly impressive the last day and Ron Harris has his horses in terrific form. Thafeera is another chasing the hat-trick and is another to consider, lightly raced and well bred it would be no surprise should she prove up to this class. Bounce and Pixeleen are other notable challengers but Kassia is proven at this level and beyond, carrying top weight hardly helps Mick Channon’s filly but she has proven class and is taken to show it. 16:35 Haydock Tawdeea looked rather disinterested when racing very lazily at Ascot last time and arrives here with questions to answer regarding his attitude. A winner at Leicester off a four pounds higher mark last term and a winner over today’s course and distance, he would be very interesting if consenting. Agent Murphy has had his fair share of problems over the year though he is very useful on his day, likely to be suited by the ground he would have major claims if anything like his best. Niblawi and Percy Street represent dual purpose trainers noted for finding improvement with their recruits, both are feared here but a final chance is handed to the moody Tawdeea. Tawdeea (WIN) – NAP
