15:10 Ayr This looks pretty competitive for the grade but old timer Jay Kay is the suggestion in the hope he could run into a place. Without a win since 2015 he hardly stands out as a win bet but given he’s due to go up 4lbs in the future, perhaps today will finally end the drought. Fahey pair, Right Acton and Royal Connoisseur make plenty of appeal at this level, the latter has the services of Hanagan though for me, Right Action makes more appeal and a repeat of his performance at Epsom last month could prove good enough. Mr Orange is better over shorter though outsider Intiwin makes some appeal if in the mood, all things considered however, Jay Kay gets the vote. Jay Kay (E/W)
16:00 Pontefract The David Barron trained, Clon Coulis, stands out here despite an eight pounds penalty for her facile success at Hamilton last time. Unexposed and two from three she looks to have any amount of progression in her and with her yard going great guns at present, she is easily the most interesting. Kassia has twice served notice in recent times and as a winner in Listed company she shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand despite here big weight. Marie Of Lyon won nicely last time and has the plumb draw to work from today, she must show more to follow up here but improvement is likely. Clon Coulis (WIN) – NAP
