RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (THURSDAY)

15:05 Sandown Richard Hannon saddles three in this with Billesdon Brook looking the first string, her victory at Kempton last time was visually impressive but she was entitled to win and this looks much tougher. Tajaanus had everything go against her at Newmarket last time and is worth forgiving that effort, impressive at the same venue on debut this trip looks well worth a crack and she makes plenty of appeal. Cape Bunting and Capomento have yet to taste defeat and warrant respect, however, Tajaanus created such an impression on debut that she is handed the vote to bounce back. TAJAANUS (WIN) – NAP

18:15 Doncaster Wafeer made a pleasing debut at Haydock three weeks ago and looks sure to improve for that initial experience here, well bred and from a yard amongst the winners he looks almost certain to go off favourite and a big run is expected. Alfa McGuire built upon the promise he showed on debut when winning readily at Beverley last month and could prove difficult to pass, his three pounds penalty makes this tougher but he warrants respect. Sir Michael Stoute has a good record here and interestingly Qaroun is his only runner on the entire card. Related to multiple winners his pedigree suggests he will make a two year old and he cost 220,000gns, Arch Gold looks a likely improver and could figure but a chance is taken on Qaroun proving good enough on debut. QAROUN (WIN)
