14:30 Kempton Zephyros has been heavily supported in this and with the booking of Oisin Murphy is set to do well however he doesn’t hold any decent form at this venue and although connections may have plotted something for this race he’s still worth taking on. The one worth taking him on with looks set to be the value selection in the form of SHINING ROMEO. A former course winner who is only two pounds higher than his last success and should be happy to encounter a shorter trip than his last outing. All-Weather maestro Luke Morris takes the reigns which will undoubtedly improve his chances and at a decent each way price has to be worth a punt. SHINING ROMEO (E/W)

14:40 Southwell Chris Gordon has been firing in winners left, right and centre over the last two weeks, hitting an astonishing 71% winning strike rate with ten winners from fourteen runners (six winners from six over fences). Today he saddles two runners with preference for BALLYCOE who notched up a hat-trick of victories over today’s trip this time last year and, although hasn’t won since, has steadily dropped back down to a decent mark and as a result is also eased in grade for today’s race. The forecast good ground will play to his strengths and he looks set to continue the yards excellent recent form. Johns Luck has previous winning form over course and distance so is perhaps the main danger to the selection, while Dan Skelton’s Mister Grez is also capable of making his presence felt and returning with minor honours.
