15:40 Leicester A race over the minimum trip sees the sprinters take centre stage in this class three handicap. You can ignore Willytheconqueror’s last run at Chester where the draw was less than advantageous and prior to that all bar one run this year was in a much better standard of race. A drop down into class three company is bound to help as is the drop in weight. A second in a listed race this time last year shows that on his day he can mix it with some of the best and is worth a chance. Soie D’Leau looks to pose the biggest threat after a more encouraging run last time out. He’s not done as well as he did last year but he’s more than likely to be in the mix once more. WILLYTHECONQUEROR (WIN) – NAP
16:35 Kempton Nine year old Tropics maybe entering the twilight of his career but some sprinters can blossom with age. He’s not the force of old but the last time he contested a class three race he finished a promising fourth. He returns to a class three handicap again today but this time with eleven pounds less weight on his back. It’s also interesting to note that despite his protracted career he’s only ever raced on the all-weather four times with him tackling an artificial surface for the last time way back in 2012. Of those four efforts he’s placed three times and won once which was here at Kempton. A drop in grade, a return to the all-weather and with less weight to burden he’s got a fantastic chance of finding himself in the winners enclosure once again. Course and distance winners Seeking Magic and Stellarta are smart on their day and pose the biggest threat to our selection. TROPICS (WIN)
