16:30 Brighton Lutine Charlie won here over today’s course and distance in his last outing but that was by no means easy and a one pound rise in weight will probably be enough to scupper his chances. Top weight With Approval has also won here at Brighton so acts on the course but needs a revival of form to find r the winning line in front. A big danger looks to be De Vegas Kid who went well here at Brighton two starts back but being drawn in stall seven may be too hard a task to overcome. The one that gets the nod is Alketios. Finishing fourth in a fifteen runner race here at Brighton shows he’s primed for a big run. A smaller field, less weight and a drop in trip should all improve his chances and looks to have a great chance today. ALKETIOS (WIN) – NAP
17:30 Brighton The final race on the card sees a host of Amateur jockeys take centre stage and without seeming unkind when I look through these races I often search for the surnames Brotherton and Walker. Both of the aforementioned jockeys have rides here and Serena Brotherton hops aboard the red hot favourite Edge. A worthy market leader after his second placed effort last time out but I’m looking for a bit of value and I’m hoping we’ve found it in the form of Simon Walkers mount Dancing Dragon. Lightly raced he put in a decent effort to finish a close fifth in a nine furlong handicap. A drop in distance from his last race should be of benefit and looks worth a punt as an each way alternative. DANCING DRAGON (E/W)
