15:45 Redcar Ninjago has been called more names than the most unwelcome mother-in-law ever has and making excuses for his defeats now appears a futile activity, often an unlucky on the eye type he simply does not win enough for one with such talent though you know he will once you’ve lost hope. Fit from the all weather where he has twice caught the eye proves that he is at least fit, todays strong pace should also suit so despite the obvious concerns he is afforded one final chance. Mufallet looks well handicapped and was in rude health at the backend of last season when winning at Chepstow and Haydock. Often ridden handily he has a most likable attitude when the pressure is applied and he must be respected. Laughton and Wentworth Falls are other obvious players who need respecting and course and distance winner Kenny The Captain looks likely to come on for a recent spin at Doncaster. Grandad’s World and Cosmic Chatter are from yards firing but the biggest danger to all could come in the shape of See The Sun who won around this time last season when making his seasonal debut, well handicapped now he really has plenty in his favour though worryingly he finished last on his final three starts last term. 16:20 Redcar This looks pretty competitive for the grade and a few in form trainers are represented, Roller comes from Mick Easterby’s yard and looks to be the one that has most scope for improvement. Fairly impressive when winning on his debut for the yard at Newcastle in December he looks an ideal type for turf handicaps though there is a slight question mark as to how he will handle the ground (Twice raced on rain softened ground in France) there also has to be a question as to how effective he will be on turf so with that in mind he is taken on, he is however the one to keep notes on. Dubai Dynamo is a grand old campaigner and has the form to take this despite being a 12 year old, a course and distance winner he ought to improve from his Doncaster run and his trainer Ruth Carr has been firing in winners of late. Hidden Rebel is another C&D winner who ought to go close, her comeback run at Wolverhampton was satisfactory and this is as easy a task as she’s faced in a while. Imperial Focus and Mohab are others to appeal but a chance will be taken on veteran Dubai Dynamo making a return to the winners enclosure. Dubai Dynamo (E/W if 9/2+)
