14:30 Musselburgh The Gaye Kelleway trained Global Academy is a speedy type who looks a winner in waiting after three decent efforts in maiden company. The switch to a sharper track will defo suit him, but he may just have bumped into one here in the form of Michael Dods previous winner Rumshak. The Arcano colt was an impressive winner at Carlisle two runs back before only just failing to follow up at Thirsk in a similar event last time. The form in the book is hard to ignore and he will take all the beating in this conditions race, so he is the confident pick. RUMSHAK (WIN)
16:00 Musselburgh The Archerfield Cup run over the 1m6f trip is the feature race of the afternoon at Musselburgh and the £20k prize has attracted some in-form stayers, but it could be the home trainers who fight it out for the money. Keith Dalgleish sends Sebastian’s Wish here in search of a fifth win of the season already after four wins from his five runs so far. Each of those wins, however, have come at a much lower level, and the one defeat this season came in a class 3 when he was third behind the re-opposing Great Fighter trained by Jim Goldie, who is preferred for that reason. The 7yo gelding has scored twice at the Scottish track already this term and both of those wins were in commanding fashion. He came unstuck last time in a much better race to the impressive Theydon Grey, but he will face no such rival of that calibre here and he gets the nod to land the spoils again here today. GREAT FIGHTER (WIN) – NAP
