RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (FRIDAY)

12:50 WARWICK

2m Racing UK’s Biggest Ever Free Trial Juvenile Hurdle (Class 4) (3yo)

The Simon Munir/Nicky Henderson combination is always worthy of respect in these types of races and they team up with French recruit, We Have A Dream. Raced the three times in his native France you rather suspect he will be a little more forward than a few of these and as he’s already shown a good deal of ability, he is taken to get off the mark at the first time of asking in the UK. Etamine Du Cochet is related to a few winners over obstacles in France and appeals as one who looks likely to make her presence felt, whether or not today will be her day is open to debate but she definitely looks one to keep an eye on even if its just for the future. Hernandes made a pleasing start to his hurdling career when fourth on his debut at Huntington, that race wont be lost on him and improvement looks likely. Crucial Moment and Fields Of Fortune stand out as others worth bearing in mind, it may however take quite an effort to see off We Have A Dream.

WE HAVE A DREAM (WIN)

19:00 DUNDALK - (BET OF THE DAY)

1m Floodlit Friday Nights Handicap (3yo+)

Today’s best bet is a horse we tipped pretty recently but that run was mightily disappointing and although I don’t make a habit of criticising jockey’s I felt the ride wasn’t the best and Red Avenger didn’t have a clear run. Now returning to the course in pretty quick succession and with less weight to carry I’m going to keep the faith and stick with course and distance winner Red Avenger.

Shannon Soul hasn’t done well in his last two runs on the turf but with two wins from his last two starts on the all-weather a return to this surface is certainly advantageous and you can expect an improved effort this evening.

Both Secret Wizard and Tonkinese finished first and second in Red Avengers last race so have to be respected but I’m hoping, with a better position in the race our selection can overturn that form.

Of the rest of the runners you have to keep a close eye on the improving Always Dancing who represents top connections.
