RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS

14:35 Sandown Il Primo Sole was well backed on debut and left a lasting impression, winning by almost five lengths without coming off the bridle. With little rain scheduled we could be looking at good ground come race time and a performance similar to that at Yarmouth would make the John Gosden trained two year old extremely tough to beat. Last Voyage is another who could have a bright future and is considered a live danger for the in-form yard of Charlie Appleby, although he steps up from the minimum trip and I feel would have to stay every yard to get the better of the afore-mentioned John Gosden runner. 15:40 Sandown A fascinating contest with five of the eleven strong field arriving on the back of victories last time out. Finale is a previous course and distance winner and would be a big danger if the ground turned soft while Al Nafoorah has made the frame in 70% of all races over a mile and should give another good account of herself. Preference however is for the progressive Madeleine Bond who was looking for a four-timer here at Sandown last time out, only to clip heels and unseat jockey Georgia Cox in the first furlong. Proven at this level, a previous winer over the trip and with conditions promising to suit she should be capable of compensation here despite the competitive nature of the race. Madeleine Bond (WIN)
