RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

19:15 KEMPTON

When you think of Amateur Riders Races there’s two names that crop up. Miss Serena Brotherton and Mr Simon Walker. Without seeming unkind to their fellow amateur’s it’d be safe to say that these two riders are at the top of the tree and could probably have made it as professionals. It should therefore come as no surprise that both jockeys are onboard well fancied horses who are both vying for favouritism.

Simon Walker climbs on top of Rainbow Rebel who has been running consistently of late and will surely be at the business end of proceedings however hasn’t tasted victory since September 2016 and residing off a high handicap mark may find this task just too tricky.

The Brotherton ridden runner is the one that gets our vote. Time To Blossom is lightly raced in comparison to her market rival and comes from the top yard of Simon Crisford. The one and only time she has ridden this five year old previously was the only time the mare has claimed victory. With Brotherton back on board and off a weight that doesn’t seem too lofty expect a big run from Time To Blossom.

Of the remaining eight runners the consistent Eltezam and Every Chance can certainly grab place money and it’d be interesting to see any market support for outside Diaktoros who has been successful on the all-weather before.
