The opening contest of Chester’s 4 day May meeting sees a group of lightly raced two year olds strut their stuff in the Lily Agnes Stakes.

For those unfamiliar with Chesters unique course a low number draw, especially over shorter distances, is an absolute must. With that in mind the unbeaten No Lippy who haiks from the yard of Mark Johnston has a great chance from stall 4. A very green performance when making her debut at Doncaster I’m hoping that she’ll have learnt a lot from her race course debut and this much drier surface will also play into her hands.

Old adversaries Kinks and Lihou will compete again and they look the most likely dangers to our selection. Drawn in 11 Kinks may find it too hard a task to overcome so expect Lihou to finish best of the rest.
