RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

Trainer Saeed bin Suroor has a great record at Salisbury with a 23% strike rate in the past five years. He sends four year old Big Tour here to make his seasonal reappearance and looks to have a great chance. A return to a mile and on firmer ground should help and if he’s fit and raring to go he’ll put in a good showing. With the addition of blinkers hopefully that will aid his chances too.

Valcartier represents a top yard but his last two outings left a lot to be desired.

Power Of Darkness has an outside chance and aims to progress on his recent course success and certainly warrants a close inspection.

The biggest threat looks set to be the Mark Johnston trained Aquarium who showed some promise when last seen at Haydock. The Johnston yard are in blistering form and if Aquarium can build upon his recent turf effort looks the most likely to cause our selection some trouble.
