RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

Down on the south coast we head for today’s best bet where Brighton hosts an eight race card and our NAP of the day is set to line up in fourth contest.

Just short of a mile awaits for the eleven runners that are set to go to post. It looks very competitive with four previous course and distance winners, a course winner and a last time out winner likely to enter the stalls however our selection doesn’t meet any of the above criteria.

Our selection has raced here at Brighton on three separate occasions and has finished second every time. Runner up in this very race last year seven year old Pendo aims to go one better than 2017’s renewal. More lightly raced this term, less weight to carry and with a recent third placed effort it should all stand him in good stead for another crack.

The ever consistent Pour La Victoire and the unexposed three year old Optimum Time are likely contenders but hopefully Trainer John Best can see his horse led to victory.
