15:00 Navan Unfortunately for punters there’s just fifteen runners entered in this race but we’re still going to try and find the one to finish first past the post. Likely favourite Compass Hill deserves his spot at the head of the market after two promising runs recently. A drop down to five furlongs however doesn’t strike me as the obvious move and as such is worth opposing over this minimum trip. The one that looks the biggest danger is Slumming Angel. She maybe a maiden but any sprinter trained by Eddie Lynam deserves a tonne of respect. The one that gets the nod however hasn’t raced over five furlongs in 29 starts. A return to this distance should spark a bit of life in to seven year old Lily’s Prince. He’s only raced over today’s course and distance twice in his career finishing second and third respectively. If he finds his form once again he looks a likely danger at a big price. LILY’S PRINCE (WIN) – NAP
17:40 Worcester Nicky Henderson has a 40% winning strike rate in the last three years over hurdles here at Worcester and sends Melangerie for her first attempt over hurdles. She arrives here on the back of two decent bumper victories including when carrying a penalty at Cheltenham in April and given her trainers record at the course could gain victory here before going on to better things as the season progresses. Peggies Venture has had three outings over hurdles but is yet to really fire and the stable have been quiet in recent weeks so the bigger dangers look to be Andarrow who hails from another stable who do well at the course and David’s Phoebe who placed at first attempt over hurdles and races for shrewd trainer Tom Lacey. MELANGERIE (WIN)
