RACE PREVIEW
DUNDALK 18:40 – (BET OF THE DAY)
Tonight we’re going for a big punt. Not in terms of putting on a tonne of money but more in the case of going for one that’s a likely outsider. There’s only two course and distance winners here and the selection is one of this duo. Red Avenger’s form has been utterly woeful this year but it’s interesting to see that he returns to a trip he’s won at before and this time from four pounds lower than his last winning mark. He notched up a sequence of victories winning three in a row over today’s trip at Dundalk this time last year. There’s no guarantee he’s going to return to his best tonight but it’s worth the chance that if he does he’ll be there or thereabouts.
It’ll come as no surprise that the probable threat looks likely to be Jon Ess who aims to improve on his second placed finish last time out.

RACE PREVIEW
KEMPTON 19:55
The final race on the card from this evenings action at Kempton sees fourteen runners do battle over twelve furlongs.
As with our earlier bet of the day from Dundalk we’ve plumped for another big priced runner, this time in the form of the seven year old maiden Hong Kong Joe. Now after twenty one starts without tasting victory it’s easy to be perturbed from backing this seven year old but that’d be neglecting some valuable points of note. Despite never finding his way in to the winners enclosure Hong Kong Joe has placed on three out of eleven starts on the all-weather and the one and only time he’s tackled today’s course and distance he finished a very credible fourth of thirteen. With less weight, top jockey Martin Dwyer in the saddle and a long rest he may be set to out run his probable huge price.
The handicapper has been very kind to Champagne Rules and wont be far away from making it two wins in a row so is feared as the most likely to overturn our selection.
